2015

The PSSA representation for Bangalow Public School Students was again strong this year. Well done to all the team members who displayed great sportsmanship and commitment.

2014

swimming

The girls relay team who were Sydney bound after winning the regional swimming carnival. Congratulations to Angus Rowley who was named Senior Boys Champion of the regional carnival.

 

Cricket

The boys cricket team successfully made it through to the 4th round of the PSSA knockout. Congratulations to Milo Bisogni and Tom Barton who were selected in the Brunswick Valley Team.

 The boys soccer team narrowly lost the final of the PSSA Soccer To Byron Bay PS after a fantastic season. Congratulations to Lenny Thurgate who made the Far North Coast Team and Milo Bisogni who made the North Coast Team.

 A phenomenal effort was made by the girls soccer team who were placed 3rd in the state. Well done also to Olivia Fitzgerald, Kate Cowan and Chloe Rudgley who were selected in the Brunswick Valley Team.

 

Matilda

Matilda Peacock was one of many students who represented the school at the Brunswick Valley Cross Country but she placed 1st and went onto the Far North Coast Race.

Athletics

A number of students travelled to the Ewingsdale Sports Complex to compete in the Brunswick Valley Athletics Carnival. Two students put in an outstanding effort making it to the state competition; Bridie Brown in the 100m event and Marlin Corbett in high jump.

Congratulations to Freya Peacock who made the North Coast team in both netball and basketball.

 Sport Awards

Freya Peacock and Angus Rowley were given the sport award in 2014 for their efforts in swimming, basketball, netball, soccer and athletics.

Debating

The debating team put up some strong arguments, debating thier way through to the semi finals.

 

2013

2013 has been a successful year for B.P.S. with a significant number of our students participating in their chosen sport at either District, Zone, Regional and State level.

Swimming

 

A number of students represented B.P.S. at the Zone Swimming Carnival. Lily Spiteri and Tom Barton went on to represent our school at the North Coast Regional Swimming Carnival.

Matilda Peacock (centre front) represented the school at state level in cross country in 2013.

 

Athletics

In athletics 21 students represented Brunswick Valley District at the Far North Coast Zone track and field championships. Ben Hunter, Jessica Mason, Kasey Basso and Bridie Brown (pictured above) all made it onto the North Coast Regional P.S.S.A Athletics Carnival.

Many students represented B.P.S. in P.S.S.A. knockouts and trials in tennis, boys cricket, girls basketball, netball, boys and girls soccer.

 

Milo

Milo Bisogni represented B.P.S. in  AFL at state level was awarded 'Man of the Match'.

2010

Michael K places 2nd in the NSW State Final of the Premier's Spelling Bee.

 

MICHAEL K is one of only two students in Northern Regional NSW placed first in the 2010 Newcastle Permanent Maths Competition.

 

Junior Masterchefs take part in a Master Class on national TV.

 

Marlie went on to win three medals at the National Championships. Well Done!

 

Michael and Cally compete in the Regional Premier's Spelling Bee.  Both perform exceptionally well, with Michael winning his way through (for the second year running) to the State Final to be held in Sydney.

 

 

Marlie being presented by the Principal with her certificate for gaining selection on the NSW team to compete at the National Cross Country Titles in August.
